Factors that Influence Clinical Nurses’ Moral Courage*

Although moral courage can play an important role in resolving some of the ethical dilemmas faced by clinical nurses, concept is need greater clarification. This study investigates factors that influence courage, including sensitivity, decision-making confidence, and environment. A total 148 nurses agreed to participate online survey for this study. The collected data were analyzed with Pearson’s correlation coefficient multiple regression using IBM SPSS 24 program. analysis indicates has a significant sensitivity (r=.55, p<.001), confidence (r=.65, environment (r=.66, p<.001). Ethical derived as affect explanatory power these variables 52.0% (F=20.94, These findings justify creation environments which nurses’ be expressed actual behavior. In addition, it argued regulations guidelines within settings should clarified order establish support systems protect well-being patients reflect true value professional nurses.
